Even today, visitors from near and far are enchanted by the city of Meran with its Mediterranean climate and clean mountain air. Palms and cypresses, evergreen oaks and laurel trees thrive in the parks of the vibrant city that has become the cultural and economic heart of an entire region.
The city centre is located at an elevation of only 325 metres above sea level, surrounded by mountains towering to a height of 3,335 metres.
